Members of Korea’s taxi lobbying groups stage a protest against the country’s homegrown van-hailing start-up Tada in front of the Seoul Central District Court in southern Seoul Wednesday. A second trial of Lee Jae-woong, the CEO of Tada’s mother company Socar, and Park Jae-wook, the CEO of Tada operator VCNC, were held Wednesday at the Seoul Court. The nation’s taxi industry and Tada have been in a battle over the legitimacy of the new transportation business since last year. [YONHAP]
