BTS is riding high on the British charts with ‘Map of the Soul: 7’

BTS claimed the No. 3 position on the biggest music chart in Britain with its fourth full-length album “Map of the Soul: 7,” released on Feb. 21.

According to the latest update of the British Official Chart, posted on Friday in Britain, BTS’s new album was No. 3 on the Top 100 albums chart, defending its place in the top five for the second week.

It debuted on the albums chart at No. 1 the previous week, while the lead track of the album, “On,” debuted at No. 21 on the Top 40 singles chart.

“On” fell to No. 45 on the singles chart this week, and reached No. 32 on the Official Single Sales Chart Top 100 and the Official Single Download Chart Top 100; No. 39 on the Official Single Chart Update Top 100; and No. 43 on the Official Scottish Single Sales Chart Top 100.

BTS became the first Korean act to top the Official Albums Chart Top 100 last year with “Map of the Soul: Persona.”
