Singer Ong Seong-wu dropped his first EP “Layers” on Wednesday, his first big release as a solo artist.
The six-track EP is the first official solo project for Ong, whose first digital single “We Belong” came out in January.
“Layers” contains five new tracks, including the lead track “Gravity,” as well as the pre-released single.
According to the agency, Ong took part in composing all the songs and writing all of the lyrics for the EP, focusing on themes of “attraction,” “consolation” and “epiphany.”
“The lead track ‘Gravity’ talks about the courage and attraction one finds in their journey through the void,” the agency said.
Ong met with fans through Naver V Live prior to the release on Wednesday afternoon to introduce his project.
Ong made his debut as a part of the 11-member project band Wanna One in 2017 after winning the final slot of Mnet’s audition program “Produce 101.”
