A variety of bingsu served at InterContinental Seoul Coex. [INTERCONTINENTAL SEOUL COEX]

Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas and InterContinental Seoul COEX

Through Aug. 31:  Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas and InterContinental Seoul COEX in Samseong-dong southern Seoul announced that summer premium bingsu will be available at The Lobby Lounge on the first floor and to-go bingsu at Grand Deli on the first floor. To-go bingsu served at Grand Deli has seen a 40 percent increase in sales over the past two years and to-go items are becoming more popular in general among customers this year, so it is expected that to-go Bingsu will be ordered by many this season.

As social distancing has become the new normal this summer, the hotels present a new approach for bingsu. The large-sized bingsu for two or three served at The Lobby Lounge is now available in a one-person serving as well. The one-person bingsu is a safe option as it is not meant for sharing. Available in a reasonable size and at an affordable price, it also makes it easier to try different flavors all at once. For these reasons, it is expected to become very popular with customers.

The Lobby Lounge of Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas serves mango pudding bingsu made with a generous amount of fresh mango pieces and topped with mango-shaped pudding and also retro mugwort bingsu with a lingering harmony between fragrant mugwort and sweet red beans. InterContinental Seoul COEX presents bingsu items with healthy ingredients. Honey grain bingsu is made with a good amount of healthy grains, including black bean ice cream and black rice popcorn. Classic bingsu, topped with bittersweet green tea ice cream, and mango bingsu, with mouth-watering flavors from refreshing mango sherbet and fresh mango pieces, are available.

The to-go bingsu of Grand Deli is a great way to enjoy generously served icy bingsu with the comfort of takeout and is available in two options: mango bingsu, which contains fresh mango pieces and is topped with mango pearls, and classic bingsu, made of soft frozen milk served with sweet red beans. A package deal including D’Gold Coffee, the hotel’s PB Coffee introduced this April, is also on the menu.

Summer premium bingsu for two or three at The Lobby Lounge is available from 38,000 won, and bingsu for one starts at 24,000 won.

Both InterContinental hotels perform professional disinfection by a sterilization company on a regular basis for the entire hotel facilities, including restaurants and rooms. Thermal imaging cameras are in place at the entrances of the restaurants and guests’ temperatures are measured upon entry.
