[Living Tradition] Bamboo document

[K AUCTION]

[K AUCTION]

Whilst treasures belonging to the famous Kansong collector family failed to win even one bid at an auction hosted by K Auction in southern Seoul on May 27, several other objects were successfully sold including this royal bamboo document made for Inbin of the Kim family (1555-1613), a royal concubine of King Seonjo (1552-1608) of the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910). The document, made by King Yeongjo (1724-1776) in 1755 to honor Kim, was sold for 1.36 billion won ($1.11 million).
