Lotte Duty Free annual concert to be held online in September
Lotte Duty Free is holding its family concert on Sept. 27.
The 30th edition of the duty-free operator's concert will be held online.
With the theme of 'Hi, world! Duty Free life, again,' it will feature popular K-pop groups, including BTS, Tomorrow X Together and GFriend.
The performance will be filmed beforehand, meaning it won't be live.
The concert will be translated into six languages, including Chinese, Cantonese, English and Vietnamese. It will kick off at 5 p.m. on Sept. 27.
Lotte Duty Free said it had originally planned a major concert this year to celebrate its 40th anniversary, but the event was scrapped due to Covid-19.
Lotte Duty Free "expects the family concert to be helpful to everyone in a time when the world is suffering from the impact of the Covid-19," Lotte Duty Free CEO Lee Gap said in a statement. "Lotte Duty Free will continue to contribute to the development of Korea’s tourism through cultural marketing."
The company said around a million people, both inside and outside Korea, have watched the concerts since they were first held in 2006.
