2PM's Nichkhun cast in lead role for Hollywood film 'Hong Kong Love Story'

Nichkhun of the boy band 2PM has been cast as one of the lead roles for Hollywood film “Hong Kong Love Story,” his agency JYP Entertainment revealed on Tuesday.

Filmmaker Keoni Waxman will take the helm of the romantic comedy, and actors Byron Mann, Dominika Kachlik and Kenneth Tsang will also star in the film.

The script, written by Mann and based on his own experience, centers around two friends' journey to find love in Hong Kong. Mann and Nichkhun feature as friends from well-to-do families whose relationship is tested when they meet a Polish model (played by Kachlik).

The singer-turned-actor previously starred in Thai film “Brother of the Year,” which was the second-highest-grossing film in the country in 2018, and has been featuring in various global drama series and films since 2010.
