Baeksang Arts Awards to be held next month, nominees to be announced soon

This year’s Baeksang Arts Awards are to be held May 13 without any audience due to the pandemic. The annual awards, celebrating its 57th edition this year, is one of Korea's major awards for honoring TV, movie and theater talents.

The awards will be aired live on cable channel JTBC from 9 p.m.

Works and entertainers in works from May 1, 2020, to April 11, 2021, will be included as a candidate for nomination.

At least four episodes of a series online or offline needs to have been available by April 11, or else one-third of the entire series. Candidates that competed during last year’s awards are not applicable to be nominated this year.

The organizer of the awards will announce the nominees on April 12 through its official website.
