Boy band BTS will make an appearance on the special episode of famed U.S. sitcom series "Friends," titled "Friends: The Reunion," set to air on May 27 on HBO Max.

The special episode of "Friends," also known as "The One Where They Get Back Together," features the six famed cast members of "Friends" — Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer — 17 years after the final episode aired in May 2004.

"Friends" ran from 1994 to 2004 as one of the most popular TV drama series in the world. The reunion was scheduled to take place last year to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the series, but was pushed back due to Covid-19.

"Friends: The Reunion" will not take on a sitcom format, but rather a talk show featuring numerous special guests, including: BTS, David Beckham, Justin Bieber, James Corden, Cindy Crawford, Cara Delevingne, Lady Gaga, Elliott Gould, Kit Harington, Larry Hankin, Mindy Kaling, Thomas Lennon, Christina Pickles, Tom Selleck, James Michael Tyler, Maggie Wheeler, Reese Witherspoon and Malala Yousafzai.

BTS's leader RM had revealed that he learned English by watching the "Friends" series multiple times on DVD without ever spending time abroad.
