Samsung Electronics releases new LED package

Samsung Electronics' new LED package [SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS]

Samsung Electronics released a new light-emitting diode (LED) package that is energy efficient and renders colors well.

The LM301B EVO generates 235 lumens per watt, which the electronics maker claims is the highest in the industry.

Lumens is a measure of the total amount of visible light from light source, and the higher the figure the brighter it is.

An LED package is a casing that carries an LED chip and phosphor and is tasked with boosting energy efficiency and brightness.

“Our new LM301B EVO offers an unrivaled mix of light efficacy and color rendering that aligns nicely with the changing landscape of LED lighting standards,” said Kim Un-soo, senior vice president of the LED Business Team at Samsung Electronics.
