Actor Park Jung-min to shutter his bookstore on June 11

Actor Park Jung-min will close his bookstore in Mapo District, northwestern Seoul, according to a post from the store's account on Monday.

The bookstore, whose name roughly translates to Book Night Day, will close on June 11.

The post said there were some problems with the operation, and it wasn’t easy to solve the issues even after some time was spent to fix them.

“We feel sorry that we couldn’t carry out the promise that we will keep this spot open for a long time,” the post read. “Hopefully, once again some time in the future, we wish to meet you.”

The bookstore first opened in July 2019. Park has shared his passion for the bookstore many time and has also written an essay whose title can be translated to “Useful Human.”
