The Korean U-23 squad beat Ghana 2-1 in a second pre-Olympic friendly on June 15 at Jeju World Cup Stadium in Seogwipo, Jeju.

한국 올림픽 대표팀이 15일 제주월드컵경기장에서 가나를 상대로 열린 두번째 친선경기에서 2-1로 승리했다.

As bigger names like Paik Seung-ho, Lee Kang-in and Won Du-jae had sat out an earlier clash between the two teams, head coach Kim Hak-bum again used all seven available substitutions during the game on June 15 to see all players perform on the field before he announces his final entry for the Games.

앞선 친선전에서 백승호, 이강인, 원두재와 같은 유명한 선수들이 빠지면서 김학범 감독은 최종 엔트리 발표 전 모든 선수들을 필드에서 점검하기 위해 두번째 경기에서 7번의 선수 교체를 모두 활용하였다.

The focus on individual performance over teamwork was clearly intended to help Kim choose who would make the starting Olympic squad, but at times it meant Korea missed opportunities as players looked to shine on their own rather than work together.

김학범 감독이 올림픽 최종 엔트리를 확정짓기 위해 개인 역량이 강조된 것이겠지만 이는 때로 개인 기량을 뽐내느라 팀워크가 약해져 기회를 놓친다는 의미이기도 했다.

Korea pulled ahead toward the end of the first half, when Freiburg striker Jeong Woo-yeong picked up a rebound off the post and slotted the ball into the net.

한국은 전반전에서 프라이부르크 공격수 정우영이 골문을 맞고 나온 리바운드를 다시 골대 안으로 넣으면서 앞서나갔다.

Despite their lead, Korea struggled to hold together a strong backline, allowing Ghana to seize the momentum and go on the attack.

한국이 한 골 앞서고 있었음에도 강력한 수비선을 유지하는데 어려움을 겪으면서 가나에게 기세를 뺐겨 공격을 허용했다.

Ghana's chance came in the 50th minute, when Korea gave up the ball deep in the midfield, allowing an opposing defender to fire a long cross up the field to Joseph Vance, who caught goalkeeper An Chan-gi off his line to take the score to 1-1.

가나는 후반 5분만에 기회를 잡았다. 한국이 미드필드에서 공을 내주면서 상대 수비수가 길게 침투 크로스를 올렸고 공격수 조셉 밴스가 골문을 비우고 나온 안찬기 골키퍼를 제치고 골을 넣으면서 점수는 1-1이 되었다.

Korea's counterattack took a series of missed opportunities before the young Taeguk Warriors finally found the back of the net, with a goal from Lee Dongjun in the 64th minute.

태극 전사들은 역습을 시도했지만 여러 번의 기회를 놓치고서야 이동준이 후반 19분 추가골을 터트렸다.

Korea last week beat Ghana 3-1 with goals from Lee Sang-min, Lee Seung-mo and Cho Gue-sung. The two results, totaling 5-2 on aggregate, are solid wins for the U-23 team in their first pre-Olympic friendlies.
