LG U+ to live stream 2020 Tokyo Olympic events
LG U+ will live stream 2020 Tokyo Olympic events on its U+ Mobile TV service, joining Naver, Wavve and Afreeca TV in delivering content from the games.
LG U+ made the announcement Tuesday, just three days before the Olympic games formally begin on July 23. The livestream service will begin July 21 when softball games and football games take place prior to the opening ceremony on Friday.
Anyone who downloads the LG U+ Mobile TV app can watch the Olympics, regardless of which telecom provider they use.
The app will have a special section for the Tokyo Olympics, where viewers can choose from seven TV channels that are broadcasting the games: KBS1, KBS2, MBC, SBS, KBS N Sports, MBC Sports+ and SBS Sports.
For those who missed the live event, LG U+ provides highlight videos of important moments.
Viewers can take part in various events held by LG U+, such as supporting the athletes through online comments or watching highlight videos and leaving comments. Winners will receive gifts, such as a 3.75-gram gold bar.
