BTS lands Grammy nomination for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance

Boy band BTS has been nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for the 64th Annual Grammy Awards for its megahit "Butter" (2021), according to the Recording Academy in the early hours of Wednesday.

The nomination comes after BTS took home three awards at the 2021 American Music Awards (AMAs) held on Sunday — Artist of the Year, Favorite Pop Duo or Group and Favorite Pop Song for "Butter." BTS became the first Asian artist to win the top honor at the AMAs.

BTS also appeared during the Grammy’s livestreamed announcement ceremony as “presenters” to announce other nominees.

At the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards in March, BTS became the first K-pop act to receive a nomination for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, but did not win.

The 64th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony will take place on Jan. 31, 2022 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
