IVE set a new record for the most first-week sales for a K-pop girl group’s debut album, its agency Starship Entertainment said on Friday.
 
The six-member rookie girl group debuted on Dec. 1 with “Eleven,” which sold 152,229 copies in the first week according to Korea’s album sales tracker Hanteo Chart.
 
This is also 2021’s highest number of copies sold by a debuting artist in Korea.
 
The music video for “Eleven” surpassed 35 million views on YouTube within four days.
 
IVE consists of members Yujin, Gaeul, Rei, Wonyoung, Liz and Leeseo.
