Lee Sung-jong of boy band Infinite saw his contract with Woollim Entertainment expire on Monday, the agency revealed on the same day.

“Our management for member Lee Sung-jong of Infinite, with whom we have been together with for the past 13 years, ended as of today [Jan. 24],” wrote Woollim in an official statement.

“We deeply thank Lee who has been with us for a long time, and we also thank fans who have always been sending unchanging love. We hope you support and cheer for Lee from now on as well.”

“I am leaving Woollim, with which I’ve been together with for a long time, and face new challenges,” Lee wrote in a letter released via Woollim.

“For the past 13 years, since I was a trainee, CEO Lee Jung-yeop and Woollim Entertainment have laughed with me when I was happy, grieved with me when I was sad and always protected me when I was having a hard time. I thank them.”

Lee also thanked Infinite’s fandom Inspirit and his fellow band members. He added he will continue to be active as a solo act as well as an Infinite member.
