SM Entertainment will stream its new year concert "SMTOWN Live 2022: SMCU Express @ Kwangya" one more time on Jan. 29, the K-pop powerhouse said Monday.
“SMTOWN Live 2022: SMCU Express @ Kwangya,” which was successfully streamed on Jan. 1, will have another run on Sunday at 3 p.m. on SM’s online global concert streaming platform Beyond LIVE as well as on LG U+’s Idol Live website and app.
The original run garnered 51 million YouTube views in 179 regions around the world.
SM Entertainment has been annually hosting a concert on the first day of the year since 2008. The agency is behind popular K-pop acts TVXQ, Super Junior, SHINee, Exo, Red Velvet, NCT and aespa.
SM’s newly-launched female supergroup GOT the beat — comprised of BoA; Taeyeon and Hyoyeon of Girls' Generation; Seulgi and Wendy of Red Velvet and Karina and Winter of aespa — had also performed its song “Step Back” for the first time during “SMTOWN Live 2022: SMCU Express @ Kwangya” on Jan. 1.
“'SMTOWN Live 2022’ is a compilation of the performance content that SM is pursuing,” said an official of the agency. “This re-streaming is a special event to repay global fans for their support."
