BTS member Jimin was discharged from hospital on Saturday after recovering from Covid-19 and appendicitis surgery, according to Big Hit Entertainment.

“Jimin’s quarantine has concluded after his surgery for acute appendicitis as of early this morning,” the agency said in a statement Saturday.

The statement added that Jimin displayed no serious symptoms of Covid-19 while he was hospitalized other than a slight sore throat. “He has since fully recovered,” said the agency.

As for his appendectomy, the statement said that he is still recuperating but is quickly healing without any issues.

Jimin himself also publicly commented on his recovery.

“Thanks to all the fans who worried for me, I was able to fully recover quickly,” Jimin wrote on the fan community platform Weverse.

The artist also thanked the doctors and nurses who took care of him while he was ill and assured his fans of his successful recovery.

“I have no reason to become sick again! Please take care of your health as well A.R.M.Y!,” Jimin said.

Jimin was admitted to hospital on Jan. 30 after complaining of a mild sore throat and sudden abdominal pain. He was subsequently diagnosed with acute appendicitis and tested positive for Covid-19. On Jan. 31, he underwent an appendectomy. He had since been in the hospital recovering from surgery and receiving inpatient Covid-19 treatment.
