Jimin of BTS assured ARMY, the name of BTS fans, that he “would be able to be discharged from hospital soon.” The singer had his appendix removed Monday and tested positive for Covid-19.

Jimin left a post on the band’s fan community platform Weverse on Thursday that he was “sorry to cause concern” to fans and that he was “on the way to a fast recovery.”

“Please wait for a moment. I’ll recover soon and come back,” he added.

Jimin was admitted to an emergency room Sunday after complaining of a mild sore throat and sudden abdominal pain.

He was diagnosed with acute appendicitis and after taking a PCR test, he tested positive for Covid-19.

BTS's agency Big Hit Music said he will be hospitalized for several more days for postoperative care for his appendectomy and treatment for the coronavirus.

The singer was vaccinated and got his second jab in August.

The agency added that Jimin was not in contact with the six other members of BTS during the period he was presumed to be contagious.
