WJSN member Dawon will take some time off from the girl group's activities to receive treatment as she is dealing with an anxiety disorder, Starship Entertainment announced Tuesday.

“Dawon was recently diagnosed with an anxiety disorder and has been receiving treatment,” said the agency in a statement. “Under her doctor’s orders, she’s been working and receiving treatment, however, it was recommended that she now has to take a break from her career to pay full attention to getting enough rest and improving her condition.”

Starship Entertainment added that the decision was made after talking with Dawon.

“Dawon will not be participating in WJSN’s activities,” it said.

WJSN is scheduled to appear on the second season of Mnet’s survival program “Queendom 2,” which will air every Thursday at 9:20 p.m. for 10 weeks from March 31.

WJSN, also known as Cosmic Girls, debuted in 2016 with its EP “Would You Like?” and has released hits “I Wish” (2017) and “As You Wish” (2019). The 13-member girl group consists of Exy, Seola, Xuan Yi, Bona, Soobin, Luda, Dawon, Eunseo, Cheng Xiao, Mei Qi, Yeoreum, Dayoung and Yeonjung.
