Actor Seo Yea-ji to star in upcoming tvN drama series 'Eve'

Actor Seo Yea-ji will return to small screen this year through upcoming tvN drama series “Eve.”

“We have confirmed the casting of Seo, Park Byung-eun, Yoo Sun and Lee Sang-yeop for our new series ‘Eve,’” tvN announced Friday.

“Eve” centers on a woman who spent 13 years planning to take revenge after the death of her father.

Seo will portray the protagonist Lee Ra-el, who seduces the CEO of a powerful conglomerate Kang Yoon-kyum (played by Park), causing him to go through a divorce lawsuit costing 2 trillion won. Yoo portrays Yoon-kyum’s wife Han So-ra, a daughter of a powerful politician who is obsessed over her husband. Lee portrays Seo Eun-pyeong, the youngest member of the National Assembly spotlighted by the media. He is described as having a scarred past and someone who is willing to do anything for love.

Seo has remained off the grid in the entertainment industry since last April after she was embroiled in claims that she was abusive in her previous relationship with actor Kim Jung-hyun. After the claims about her controlling and manipulative behavior went viral, other netizens also posted accusations that Seo bullied them when they were working for her, or while they were at school.

Due to such allegations, Seo skipped the press events for her film “Recalled” in April and she was replaced in upcoming film “Island.”
