Stray Kids' 'Oddinary' is raking in the orders

Stray Kids [JYP ENTERTAINMENT]

Stray Kids [JYP ENTERTAINMENT]

Boy band Stray Kids' upcoming EP “Oddinary” surpassed 1.3 million advance orders, according to its agency JYP Entertainment Thursday.

Advance orders for the band’s last album “Noeasy” were 930,000 last year.

Every member of the band is said to have participated in writing the seven songs for the EP, including the lead track “Maniac.” The title of the EP, a combination of the English words “odd” and “ordinary,” is supposed to signify that even ordinary people have odd parts to their personality.

“Maniac” will drop at 1 p.m. Friday.

Stray Kids debuted in 2018 and consists of eight members: Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin and I.N. The band has had hits such as “My Pace” (2018), “Miroh” (2019), “God's Menu” (2020), “Back Door” (2020) and “Thunderous” (2021). Its second full-length album “Noeasy” (2021) sold over 1.3 million copies. That album’s lead track, “Thunderous,” ranked No. 1 on several local music shows.
