Mamamoo dropped its Japanese compilation album “I Say Mamamoo The Best -Japan Edition-" on Wednesday, the girl group’s agency RBW said the same day.  
 
The album features Japanese versions of songs that were part of Mamamoo’s Korean compilation album of the same name, which was released in September 2021.  
 
A new Japanese original titled “Smile” was also included on the new album.  
 
Mamamoo debuted in 2014 and consists of four members: Solar, Moonbyul, Wheein and Hwasa. The girl group is known for its steady flow of hits such as "Um Oh Ah Yeh" (2015), "You're the best" (2016), "Décalcomanie" (2016), "Yes I am" (2017), "Starry Night" (2018), "Egotistic" (2018), "Gogobebe" (2019), "Hip" (2019) and "Aya" (2020).
 
The girl group debuted in Japan in 2018 via its single “Decalcomanie -Japanese ver.-“ which was a Japanese version of its 2016 hit.
