Samsung Lions look to build on 2021 success
The Samsung Lions also return largely unchanged this season as the Daegu club looks to build some momentum after five years at the bottom of the table.
Last season saw Samsung return to the playoffs for the first time since 2015, when they lost to the Bears to end nearly 20 years as a regular playoff contender.
Having spent five years reinventing themselves, the Lions returned last year and made it all the way to the top of the table before losing the tiebreaker with the Wiz and then dropping their playoff to Doosan.
The Lions lose outfielder Park Hae-min, which could come as a blow, but keep foreign outfielder Jose Pirela.
