Boy band Big Bang's new single "Still Life" landed on Billboard's charts on Tuesday.
It landed at No. 9 on the Billboard Global 200 Chart and No. 3 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S chart.
Billboard Global 200 ranks the top songs based on streaming and sales from more than 200 territories around the world including the U.S., and Billboard Global Excl. U.S chart ranks the top songs based on the same data but excludes data from the U.S., according to Billboard.
"Still Life" was released on April 4. Since then, it has recorded 34 million streams and sold 29,700 albums.
The song is about reminiscing on the past hardships and glory while also hoping about the present and the future. The music is slow-paced and melodic, setting itself apart from other songs by Big Bang, many of which are energetic hip-hop beats.
Big Bang debuted in 2006 with the album “Big Bang Vol. 1 – Since 2007.” The band saw immense success with songs like “Lies” (2007), “Haru Haru” (2008), “Tonight” (2011), “Fantastic Baby” (2012) and “Bang Bang Bang” (2015).
