Lee Jun-ho, Girls’ Generation's Yoona to play leads in new rom-com series

Actors Lee Jun-ho and Yoona of Girls’ Generation will play leads in the upcoming romantic comedy series “King the Land” (working title), according to production company Npio Entertainment on Wednesday.

Filming will start in autumn, according to Npio.

Lee will play conglomerate heir Goo Won, embroiled in a vicious conflict over inheritance. Yoona will take on the role of hotelier Chun Sa-rang.

Lee recently earned praise as an actor through his role in MBC’s historical series “The Red Sleeve” (2021-22). Yoona has been active as a K-pop idol since 2007 as a member of girl group Girls’ Generation. As an actor, she is best known for the hit comedy disaster film “Exit” (2019).

When or which platform “King the Land” will air is undetermined.
