Kidari Studio, a Korean webtoon production company, signed an agreement with Japan’s Gigatoon Studio to export its content to the Japanese market and distribute the Japanese studio's works on its own platforms, the Korean company said Monday.

Founded in January, Gigatoon Studio is a subsidiary of Japan’s entertainment company DMM that specializes in the production and marketing of ebooks and webtoons.

Kidari Studio will distribute its webtoons through DMM’s platforms and Gigatoon Studio’s works on its own global services.

The two companies will also co-produce webtoons for the global market, according to Kidari Studio.

“We will endeavor to bring the best entertainment experience to readers around the world,” Kidari Studio said in a press release.
