Boy band Enhypen’s latest and third EP “Manifesto : Day 1” sold over 1.24 million copies in the first week of its release, said local album sales tracker Hanteo Chart on Monday.

According to Hanteo Chart, “Manifesto : Day 1,” which dropped on July 4, sold 1,241,112 copies between July 4 and 10, surpassing the 1 million mark on July 5.

Enhypen now holds the record for being the fastest K-pop act to produce two million-seller albums since debuting. Its first full-length album “Dimension : Dilemma” (2021) also sold over 1.1 million copies.

Enhypen formed in 2020, consisting of the seven finalists of Mnet’s music survival television program “I-Land” (2020): Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo and Ni-ki. The band officially debuted with the EP “Border: Day One” (2020) and has released hits such as “Given-Taken” (2020), “Drunk-Dazed” (2021) and “Tamed-Dashed” (2021).

Its latest lead track “Future Perfect (Pass the MIC)” from “Manifesto : Day 1” is a powerful drill track, a subgenre of trap music.
