Male student charged with murder of female student at Inha University

Prosecutors on Tuesday charged a male student with murder in a case where the student allegedly raped and caused a fellow student to fall to her death on the campus of Inha University in Incheon.

The Incheon District Prosecutors’ Office announced that the male student involved in the death of a female student on Inha University campus last month has been charged with murder. The police had originally referred the case to the prosecution on charges of “quasi-rape.” The prosecution did not charge the student for allegedly filming and distributing videos of the victim.

The female student was found dead on the campus of Inha University on July 15, first discovered by a passerby at around 3 a.m. that day. The male student was accused of sexually assaulting the female student and causing her to fall from the third floor of a university building.
