Inha University announced Thursday it reaffirmed its business accreditation with the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), maintaining its status as one of the 18 Korean universities with the title.

AACSB's business accreditation looks into 15 factors such as the university's curriculum, teaching effectiveness and how effectively the university manages students.

Accreditation is re-evaluated every five years. Inha University received the business accreditation in 2014, and this year is the university's second renewal.

During the re-evaluation, AACSB examined not only the university's business school, but also the School of Global Convergence Studies' business curriculum and the business school at Inha University of Tashkent.

"The AACSB renewal is a result of Inha University's successful globalization," said Cho Myeong-woo, president of Inha University. "We hope the reaccreditation can help further globalization projects ahead of the university."

There are 18 universities in Korea that have business accreditations from the AACSB, such as Korea University, Yonsei University and KAIST.
