Consumer price in August grew 5.7 percent year-on-year.

This is slowed from the previous month 6.3 percent increase largely due to slowing growth of petroleum good prices.

The price on petroleum goods grew 19.7 percent year-on-year including diesel, which rose 30 percent. However, this increase has slowed from the 73.4 percent increase in July.

The rising agriculture prices is the biggest concern, which grew 10 percent affected by the heavy rainfall last month. Cabbage prise rose 78 percent, cucumber up 69.2 percent and green onion up 48.9 percent.
