Boy band Highlight to host concert for 13th debut anniversary

Boy band Highlight will host a concert to celebrate its 13th debut anniversary.

The concert will take place on Oct. 15 and 16 at Jangchung Arena in central Seoul. Titled “2022 Highlight Fan Con in Seoul,” it comes five months after the band’s last solo concert “Intro” in May.

Oct. 15 was the day the Highlight members debuted.

At the concert, the members will host stages under the theme of having a field day, through which they “aim to promote a healthy lifestyle both physically and mentally to entertain the fans with a variety of sports games.”

The band recently released its first full-length album “Daydream” in March.

Reservations for the concert first open up to the fan club on Sept. 13.

Originally active as boy band Beast, it changed its name to Highlight in 2016 after former members Jang Hyun-seung and Yong Jun-hyung left the band. The four current members are Yoon Du-jun, Yang Yo-seop, Lee Gi-kwang and Son Dong-woon.
