Man arrested for drug use in Gangnam reported to be actor Lee Sang-bo

A man in his 40s, reported to be actor Lee Sang-bo, was arrested on Saturday for drug use in Gangnam District, southern Seoul, according to Seoul Gangnam Police Station.

Police arrested a man in his 40s on Saturday at his house in Gangnam following a civilian report filed around 2 p.m. on the same day that said there was "a man running around the streets who looks like he is high on drugs."

The man has been charged with the violation of the Narcotic Control Act and is apparently undergoing police investigations.

According to reports by local news outlet News1 on Monday, it confirmed with the related authorities that the man who has been arrested is actor Lee.

Lee's Instagram account was switched to private yesterday. He has no agency representing him and has made no official statements about the recent allegations.

Lee debuted in 2006 through KBS drama series "Invisible Man Choi Jang-su" (translated). He has since made appearances as an extra or in a supporting roles in various works including tvN's "Romance Hunter" (2007), KBS's "Daughters-in-Law" (2007), MBC's "Man Who Dies to Live" (2017) and the film "Secretly, Greatly" (2013).

His latest role was his first time as a lead, in KBS melodrama series "Miss Monte-Cristo," which aired last year. The series recorded a local viewership ratings of 17.6 percent, according to Nielsen Korea.
