DIA will disband after its contract ends on Saturday, according to the girl group’s agency Pocketdol Studio on Thursday. “After seven years with us, DIA’s contract will expire as of Sept. 17,” the agency said. “DIA was scheduled for one last music show appearance, but it has been canceled due to member Jung Chae-yeon’s injury.”

걸그룹 다이아가 오는 17일 전속 계약 만료 후 해체한다고 소속사 포켓돌스튜디오는 15일 밝혔다. “지난 7년간 함께 했던 다이아가 회사와의 전속 계약이 9월 17일부로 만료된다,”고 밝혔다. 또한 “당초 한 차례 예정되어있던 음악 방송은 멤버 정채연의 부상으로 불가피하게 취소됐다”고 덧붙였다.

Jung, known as a former member of project girl group I.O.I from the hit Mnet audition show “Produce 101” (2016) and currently active as an actor, was injured while filming for the upcoming MBC series “The Golden Spoon.” She underwent surgery for a broken collarbone on Tuesday.

정채연은 2016년 엠넷 ‘프로듀스 101’출신 프로젝트 걸그룹 아이오아이의 멤버로 잘 알려져 있으며 현재 배우로도 활동 중이다. 그녀는 방영 예정인 MBC 드라마 시리즈 ‘금수저’를 촬영하다가 부상을 입어 13일 쇄골 골절로 수술을 받았다.

“We thank all the fans who have been sending DIA unchanging love and support,” the agency added. “Please follow the members who are each off to a new start. We also send our sincerest support for the members’ futures.”

“그동안 다이아에게 한결같은 사랑과 응원을 보내주신 팬들에게 감사하다”며 “새로운 출발을 하는 멤버들에게 따뜻한 관심과 성원을 부탁드린다”고 덧붙였다.

DIA debuted in September 2015 with the album “Do It Amazing" and is known for the songs “Will you go out with me” (2017) and “WooWoo” (2018). It dropped its final digital single “Rooting For You” on Wednesday.

다이아는 2015년 9월 앨범 ‘두 잇 어메이징’으로 데뷔하여 ‘나랑 사귈래’ (2017), ‘우우’ (2018) 등 히트곡을 남겼다. 지난 14일에는 마지막 디지털 싱글 ‘루팅 포 유’를 발매했다.
