Boy band NCT 127’s latest full-length album “2 Baddies” sold more in its first week than any other album by an SM Entertainment group or artist, the agency said Friday.
According to data from local sales tracker Hanteo Chart, “2 Baddies” sold a total of 1,547,595 copies since its release on Sept. 16.
SM Entertainment represents K-pop acts Girls' Generation, Exo, Red Velvet, SHINee and aespa.
This is the band’s third album to sell over one million units, following “NCT #127 Neo Zone” (2020) and “Sticker” (2021).
NCT 127 debuted in 2016 as one of NCT’s subunit groups. The subunit has 10 members: Taeil, Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Winwin, Jungwoo, Mark and Haechan. It has released songs like “Fire Truck” (2016), “Cherry Bomb” (2017), “Kick It” (2020) and “Sticker” (2021).
