Kkkokdu are Korea’s traditional wooden puppets, usually used to decorate a funeral bier. The show’s English title has not been confirmed yet.

The series tells the story of a grim reaper played by Kim, who visits the mortal world every 99 years in order to punish humanity by possessing a person and carrying out the murders of immoral people. He has been damned to do this mission forever after angering the creator god.

The story starts when during one visit, he encounters a doctor, played by Im, who has a tragic backstory of losing her mother at a young age. Having graduated from the lowest-rating medical school in the country, she suffers from insecurity and faces disrespect at her career.

“Season of Kkokdu” will air sometime this year.
