Boy band Stray Kids took the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart for the second time since debuting career with its new EP "Maxident."

The eight-track EP debuted atop the Billboard 200 chart for this week with 117,000 equivalent album units earned in the United States, Billboard said in a chart preview Sunday. The latest chart will be released Tuesday.

This makes the band the second K-pop act to record more than one No. 1 on the chart after BTS. The band previously topped the Billboard 200 with its last EP “Oddinary” in March.

"Maxident" is the fourth album by a Korean act to top the chart this year, following "Oddinary," BTS' "Proof" and Blackpink's "Born Pink."

The EP, with lead track "Case 143," was expected to see major success after it sold more than 2.18 million copies in the first week after its release.

The band is scheduled to begin a world tour with stops in cities such as Jakarta, Bangkok, Singapore, Melbourne, Sydney, Atlanta and Fort Worth.
