LG Energy Solution is paving the way to deliver sustainable values for customers on the foundation of ESG management systems. In particular, the company strives to establish safe business environments, prioritizing safety in all its business decisions.

LG Energy Solution has acquired ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, verifying the company’s potential for environmental management, and standards for health and safety. Careful monitoring is conducted at all stages of product manufacturing from battery R&D to its termination. Sustaining an optimal product life cycle assists in preventing any major accidents as well as aides the environment.

Investments in developing infrastructure and smart factories are constantly being made to ensure the quality of the used gear. According to the company’s attempts and success in spreading its business on a global scale, LG Energy Solution has refined its human resources as well as the framework for decision making, effectively reducing compliance risks and severe accidents.

Addressing issues of resource depletion and waste matter, LG Energy solution is aiming to minimize waste that ends up in landfills and create a positive flow of resources.

Particularly Lgesnj (LG Energy Solution Nanjing) located in China, has been granted the platinum level from Underwriters Laboratories (UL). This certificate proves the business fully recycles its industrial waste.

Lgesmi (LG Energy Solution Michigan) has received five consecutive landfill-free verifications since 2018 from the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) for its minimized use of landfills. The amount of waste buried underground accounts for less than 1 percent of the institute’s entire industrial waste.
