Hongjoong of boy band Ateez donated 10 million won ($7,500) to World Vision in time for the anniversary of the group’s official fan club Atiny.

International relief and development nongovernmental organization World Vision announced on Thursday that it had received 10 million won in donations from Ateez member Hongjoong.

The donation was delivered to World Vision under the name of the Ateez fan club Anity, to commemorate the founding date of Atiny, and the money will be put toward World Vision’s Dreaming Children project.

“I am very happy to deliver the donation in the name of our fans to celebrate the founding anniversary of Anity,” said Hongjoong to local media. “It is more meaningful because I can help children who are dreaming of music.”

Ateez debuted in 2018 and has eight members: Hongjoong, Seonghwa, Yunho, Yeosang, San, Mingi, Wooyoung and Jongho. It is known for hits “Wave” (2019), "Wonderland" (2019), “Déjà vu” (2021), “The Real” (2021) and "Guerrilla" (2022).
