Rest in peace
A ceremony laying to rest the remains of three servicemen killed during the Korean War between 1950 and 1953 is held at the Seoul National Cemetery on Tuesday. The same ceremony was also held for five servicemen at the Daejeon National Cemetery. Among the war heroes killed were Kim Yong-il and Pyeon Gwi-man, whose remains were recovered from the White Horse Ridge, a former battle site inside the demilitarized zone separating the two Koreas. Kim held a rank equivalent to a sergeant now, while Pyeon held a rank equal to a corporal. [YONHAP]
