K-pop girl group Kep1er to star in new variety show 'House of Dols'

Girl group Kep1er is set to star in a new variety show called “House of Dols,” fan community platform Universe said Friday.

This week, the platform has been posting teasers for the whodunit program, in which the members are invited to a “suspicious party” and have to gather clues to solve a puzzle and escape the building.

The show takes on a horror fairy tale theme, and the teaser features an animated dog skeleton and centipedes. Universe also said that the program will include other computer graphics for an “added immersive experience.”

“House of Dols” premieres on Jan. 2. The remaining five episodes will be revealed through the week until Jan. 5 through the Universe app.

Formed through Mnet’s multinational idol audition show “Girls Planet 999,” Kep1er has been seeing success since debuting in January with its first EP “First Impact” and lead track “Wa Da Da.” It consists of nine members: Yujin, Chaehyun, Dayeon, Youngeun, Yeseo, Xiaoting, Mashiro, Hikaru and Huening Bahiyyih.
