Momoland members will not renew their contracts with MLD Entertainment

None of the six members of girl group Momoland will renew their contracts their agency MLD Entertainment.

"After long discussions, the company came to an agreement with all six members of Momoland to terminate their exclusive contracts," said the agency in a statement Friday.

The agency thanked the group for its time at the company and asked fans to “further support the six members as they embark on a new start.”

Momoland debuted in 2016 with seven members; Hyebin, Yeonwoo, Jane, Nayoon, JooE, Ahin and Nancy. Two members, Daisy and Taeha joined the group in 2017, but left two years later. Yeonwoo left the group the same year. The agency claimed her departure was so she could focus on her acting career, however, she denied this claim raising controversy that she may have been pushed out of the group.
