Enhypen webtoon 'Dark Moon: The Blood Altar' reaches 100 million views
“Dark Moon: The Blood Altar,” a webtoon series made in collaboration between Naver Webtoon and boy band Enhypen, has surpassed 100 million views worldwide according to the band's agency HYBE on Wednesday.
Written and drawn by renowned webtoon artists Rangddo and Henie, “Dark Moon: The Blood Altar” is a teenage romance webtoon with characters designed by Enhypen members themselves. The boy band also participated in the original soundtrack of the webtoon, “One in a Billion” (2022).
The webtoon ranked at No. 1 on Naver Webtoon's Sunday charts for over 10 weeks on the Japanese, Spanish and German versions, and ranked fourth place on the Sunday chart and second place in the fantasy genre on the English version of the service.
The webtoon is part of the HYBE Original Story initiative, where stories of varying formats are produced in collaboration with HYBE artists. “7Fates: Chakho,” “Dark Moon: The Blood Altar,” and “The Star Seekers,” first released in January 2022, are made in collaboration with the boy bands BTS, Enhypen and Tomorrow X Together, while “Crimson Heart” and “Dark Moon: The Grey City,” released in November and December of 2022, are related to the girl group Le Sserafim and boy band &Team.
