Indian executives visit Krafton headquarters to talk gaming, AI

Krafton CEO Kim Chang-han met with C-suite executives from Indian IT companies to discuss possible collaborations on gaming and AI technologies at the game publisher's headquarters in southern Seoul.

Some 20 leaders of Indian IT, venture capital and private equity firms — including Nitish Mittersain, founder and CEO of the leading Indian gaming company Nazara Technologies — attended the meeting last Friday, Krafton said in a statement Tuesday.

Nazara Technologies, the only listed gaming company in India, is behind such titles as Kiddopia, Animal Jam and WCC3.

Executives discussed Krafton’s success in the Indian game market with Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) Mobile India, as well as industry trends and AI.

“It was a meaningful opportunity to discuss the future of the gaming industry and AI technology with influential leaders in India’s key industries,” Kim said in a statement. “The gaming industry is an area that can significantly contribute to technological advancement and cultural exchange, and it is expected to continue to demonstrate rapid growth in the global market.”

Leaders from India visited Krafton through a connection established by the Young Presidents’ Organization, a global group which claims around 34,000 leaders from 140 countries as members.

Krafton is scheduled to release the new battle royale shooter game Bullet Echo India on April 24.
