The Kansas City Chiefs beat the Philadelphia Eagles to win the 2023 Super Bowl after a 38-35 thriller at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona on Sunday.

Having won the Super Bowl in 1970 and 2020, Sunday's win marked the third Super Bowl title for the Chiefs.

They failed to get their hands on the Vince Lombardi Trophy for the last two years as they lost the Super Bowl in 2021 and then the AFC Championship in 2022.

The Chiefs’ road to victory was never easy.

Jalen Hurts of the Eagles recorded a touchdown first, but Travis Kelce of the Chiefs scored a touchdown to level the score at 7-7. The score went back and forth from that point, but the Eagles extended the score to 24-14 in the second quarter.

The Chiefs, however, did not back down in the third quarter and turned things around as they took the score to 28-27. They maintained that momentum in the fourth quarter and extended their lead to 35-27.

The Eagles bounced back, making the score 35-35 thanks to a touchdown and a two-point conversion by Hurts.

The Chiefs then faced a chance to secure a win in the final moment of the fourth set with a field goal opportunity.

Harris Butker succeeded a field goal from 27 yards and ended the game 38-35, ultimately winning the third Super Bowl title for the Chiefs.

This was the first Super Bowl in history in which two brothers have played against each other. Travis Kelce of the Chiefs marked his second Super Bowl win in style, beating his older brother Jason Kelce to the title.

Jason Kelce, on the other hand, failed to add his second Super Bowl ring to his trophy cabinet. He won his first Super Bowl in 2018 with the Eagles.

The first time Jason Kelce won the Super Bowl was also the only time the Eagles have won the title.
