Eagles continue rebuild after another year at the bottom

For a team that has made it to the playoffs just once since 2007, surprisingly little has changed for the Hanwha Eagles this offseason.

Aside from a few small changes, the bulk of the Eagles roster remains untouched, with the club presumably banking on manager Carlos Subero’s ongoing roster rebuild to eventually payoff.

One thing that has changed is the arrival of a promising rookie roster led by Moon Dong-ju, an up-and-coming pitcher who has already been throwing fastballs around at speeds up to 155 kilometers per hour during training.

After three years in the bottom two the Eagles are due a break of some sort this season, although whether Subero actually has something up his sleeve remains to be seen.
