The concert venue for boy band Super Junior’s upcoming Mexico leg of its world tour has changed to a “larger and safer place,” according to the Mexico-based daily newspaper Excélsior on Thursday.

The company that deals with managing and organizing the band’s Mexican concert posted the news on social media, saying that the event will be held at the Mexico City Arena.

“We thank the entire E.L.F community,” it said.

E.L.F is the name of Super Junior’s fans.

The concert was initially planning to be held at Velódromo Olímpico Agustín Melgar, which is a velodrome that can seat up to 18,000 people.

Mexican E.L.F took to social media, saying that they want to see the band in the “safer and bigger Mexico City Arena” with related hashtags, requesting that the concert venue be changed.

The velodrome addressed the news on its social media, reassuring fans that it has “the infrastructure and capacity to have a brilliant show for the band.”

However, the band went with fans’ opinions, which Excélsior later reporting that “Super Junior fans achieved what they wanted with the change in venue.”

The Mexico date is set for Feb. 15, 2023.
