Netflix announces new original series directed by Mo Wan-il

Netflix announced the production of a new original series “In the Woods Where There's No One” (translated) on Monday. It will be directed by Mo Wan-il, the man behind the hit JTBC drama “The World of the Married” (2020).
 
The mystery-thriller series revolves resort cabin owner Jeon Yeong-ha whose life is at risk after the arrival of a suspicious woman. The story will unfold in line with the story of Lee Jung-eun, the former owner of the resort cabin who had a similar experience and lost everything.
 
The release date for the series has not yet been announced.
 
Kim Yoon-seok, famous for his leading roles in “Escape from Mogadishu” (2021), “1987: When the Day Comes” (2017) and “The Thieves” (2012), will play Jeon Yeong-ha. Yoo Seong-ah, the mysterious woman, will be played by Go Min-si, known for her role in the Netflix drama “Sweet Home” (2020) and movie “The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion” (2018).
 
Singer and actor Yoon Kye-sang from “The Outlaws” (2017) and “MAL·MO·E - The Secret Mission” (2018) will play Koo Sang-jun, the former owner of the cabin and Lee Jung-eun, known for her roles in 2019 KBS drama “When the Camellia Blooms” and movie “Parasite” (2019), will play the chief constable Yoon Bo-min who is in charge of investigating the mysterious case.
 
The series will be co-produced by SLL and Studio Flow and will be a Netflix exclusive series.
