BoA wraps up Seoul leg of 20th-anniversary tour

Singer BoA completed the Seoul leg of her 20th-anniversary tour "THE BoA: Musicality” on March 11 and 12 in Olympic Hall, Songpa District, performing 22 songs from across her discography.

“My 20th-anniversary tour was supposed to be done three years ago, but because of the pandemic, here I am holding it on my 23rd anniversary,” said BoA.

The artist performed some all-time favorites including “No.1” (2002), “Atlantis Princess” (2003), “Girls On Top” (2005), Better (2020), “Merry-Chri” (2004) and “Only One” (2012).

“With the 10 full-length albums I released, along with EPs and Japanese tracks, it was a hard job for me to summarize my concert setlist [...] but I’ll do everything I can as it is my 20th anniversary,” the artist said during the concert, adding that she plans to talk less [to perform more] during the show.

The second day of BoA’s concert was also livestreamed globally through the Beyond Live Service. She will hold a concert in Busan on April 1.

The artist famously held her 15th-anniversary concert at the Sejong Center for Performing Arts, located in Jongno District, central Seoul, in a first for a popular music singer in her 20s. Performing in such halls is considered an achievement as the venues are not often open to pop singers.

BoA debuted in 2000 with "ID:PEACE B" at the age of just 13 and stormed the Asian music scene with her vocal and dance skills, which she flaunted through hits such as "No. 1" (2002), "Valenti" (2002) and "Hurricane Venus" (2010).

She rewrote K-pop history by becoming one of the first successful artists to launch in the Japanese and American music market in the early 2000s.
