Kansong Art Museum opens online community platform

Kansong Art Museum has opened an online community platform, created by the local fandom business company bemyfriends, to provide additional services, the museum announced Thursday.

Kansong Art Museum is Korea’s first modern private museum, located in Seongbuk District, central Seoul.

With “b.stage,” the platform made by bemyfriends for Kansong, the museum will be able to provide online services such as announcements and lecture livestreaming.

For example, the museum is set to livestream a lecture titled “Kansong’s Masterpieces” from 2 p.m. on Friday. It will be free for anyone to watch.

“The arts and culture foundations in Korea are eagerly utilizing IT, such as non-fungible tokens of national treasures,” said Chun In-keon, director of the museum. “We hope that with the help of bemyfriends, the Kansong Art Museum can promote the excellence of Korean culture to the world and create a community in which the younger generation can participate in its preservation and enjoyment.”
